Project Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to lead the delivery of a critical structural and mechanical upgrade project. This project aims to address recurring equipment damage caused by limited clearance and frequent operational impacts by removing a damaged structure and implementing a redesigned system that enhances safety, functionality, and long-term asset performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all phases of the project lifecycle: planning, stakeholder coordination, design review, execution, and commissioning

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with operational requirements and safety standards

  • Drive risk mitigation strategies and quality assurance processes throughout the project

  • Oversee compliance with relevant regulatory and operational standards

  • Monitor project progress, budget, and timelines, providing regular updates to stakeholders

  • Identify potential issues early and implement effective solutions to maintain project momentum and integrity

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing structural and mechanical upgrade or refurbishment projects

  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles related to structural design, mechanical systems, and asset integrity

  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement

  • Ability to lead risk assessments and ensure quality assurance compliance

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., Mechanical or Structural Engineering degree)

  • Experience working in industrial or heavy engineering environments preferred
